A dazzlingly virtuosic concert of Vivaldi concertos for 1, 2 and 4 violins. The programme, including the UK première of a recently-discovered version of the Concerto No.2, is performed by Britain’s finest Vivaldi ensemble and recent US chart toppers, exactly 300 years after this extraordinary set of concertos was first published. These concertos were to have a tremendous influence on many composers throughout Europe, including J.S. Bach.
